I wanted to be a part of starting the non for profit believe and do, because I am convinced that bringing worthwhile and fulfilling programs to the youth in ours and surrounding communities is being a part of the solution rather than being a part of the problem as I once was.
My journey as a youth down various wrong paths started in the Chicago housing authority project located at 6217 south Calumet in Chicago where my choices of drug use, various crimes, and lack of respect for myself and my fellow neighbors in the community got me sentenced to two life sentences in Statesville jail.
That street life along with the bad choices took me away from my family and loved ones it also had a part in me being diagnosed with stage four non-small cell lung cancer, so I am here today by the grace of God and I want to show all my young brother and sisters that if I can turn my life around they can too.
It is achievable by having the will to achieve even if others do not believe, you must want to B.A.D.
